The Sacconi Quartet are all set for the 6th edition of the Sacconi Chamber Music Festival, running this weekend in Folkestone. They will be filling the town with stunning chamber music, including Messiaen’s ‘Quartet for the End of Time’, Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’ and Richard Strauss’ ‘Metamorphosen’.
The Quartet will be joined in their celebration of chamber music by Alasdair Beatson, Sarah Beaty, Pekka Kuusisto, Simon Rowland-Jones and Christopher Bucknall, alongside numerous other performers and even local schoolchildren.
If you can’t make it to Folkestone for this packed weekend of music, catch them in London at Kings Place, performing with Simon Rowland-Jones in the Chamber Classics Unwrapped series on June 12th. They will be performing Dvorak’s ‘American Quartet’ and Piano Quintet No. 2 in A. Tickets are available here.
