UK vocalists are taking over the USA this week with tours crossing the country and appearances at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA).
First up is Stile Antico‘s tour to North Carolina, Washington DC, New York, Boston, Florida and Ohio. They have already received rave reviews for their performances: ‘at times dazzling, at times mesmerizing, and always stunningly beautiful’ is how one reviewer has described their ‘sublime’ performance at Duke University, NC. Stile Antico’s US tours would not be complete without their tour blog, which is updated daily by the members of the group in turn and give an unique insight into what life is like on the road for a group of young singers.
Next up are The Swingles, who are traversing the States, taking their touring show to Texas, Georgia, the Carolinas, Oregon and California. They are also heading north of the border to perform in Edmonton and Montreal. During their 5 week tour, they are also working with students in colleges and high schools, introducing their unique sound and leading workshops.
Finally, ACDA is being inundated with European vocal talent in the form of The Real Group and The King’s Singers, who both took to the stage in the Salt Lake Tabernacle to wow the thousands of audience members. Dominic Peckham is also performing at ACDA, where he is conducting the National Youth Chamber Choir in a programme of works from China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.
