Graham Ross and the Choir of Clare College, Cambridge embark on landmark tour of Asia

On 1 September Graham Ross and the Choir of Clare College Cambridge set off on a major tour to Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Malaysia. Graham and the Choir will give concerts with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) and the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, as well as giving recitals in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. They will also visit Hong Kong and Macau Universities, the Tanglin Trust School in Singapore, and local musicians and Clare alumni in Penang, Malaysia. Graham marks his conducting debut with the MPO on this visit.

Graham and the Choir’s public concerts on this tour are as follows:
5 September, 20:00, Hong Kong City Hall: Choral recital
7 September, 19:30, Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Singapore: Choral recital
9 September, 19:30, Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Singapore: Mozart Solemn Vespers with Conservatory Orchestra and Jason Lai, conductor

And, at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, Kuala Lumpur:
15 September, 20:30: Choral recital
17 September, 20:30: Concert with Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (Graham Ross, conductor). Programme includes Fauré Requiem and Bernstein Chichester Psalms
18 September, 15:00: Concert with Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (Graham Ross, conductor). Programme includes Fauré Requiem and Bernstein Chichester Psalms

After the Choir return to the UK, Graham Ross will remain in Kuala Lumpur to conduct a series of educational concerts with the MPO:
24 September, 10:00 & 12:30: Orchestral concerts for schools
24 September, 15:00: Orchestral concert for families
25 September, 14:30 & 16:30: Orchestral concerts for families
