The Marian Consort's 'Breaking the Rules' has received excellent reviews. The part-play, part-concert was performed at the inaugural Baroque at the Edge Festival at LSO St Luke's.

The Marians were praised for their ensemble which was ‘gorgeously balanced and unified no matter what’ as they paced the aisles of LSO St Luke’s, sang in the round or bore down on Gerald Kyd, the actor portraying the doomed Gesualdo. Another critic comments in their 5* review the group’s ‘perfect blend and without a note out of place’.
