Violinist Fenella Humphreys has received yet another brilliant review of her new Max Richter: Four Seasons Recomposed disc, this time from BBC Music Magazine:

“…a kaleidoscope of calm… The violinist is perfectly suited to the contemporary nuances of Richter’s reimagining.”

“Fenella’s interpretation is a welcome addition to the work’s discography.”

“Humphreys mines the repetitive melodies for subtleties of colour… excels in the soaring stillness.”

She performs with the Covent Garden Sinfonia under conductor Ben Palmer, released with Rubicon Classics.

The disc has already been highly praised in Gramophone Magazine and The Scotsman, and chosen as:

Scala Radio’s ‘Album of the Week’
One of BBC Radio 3’s pick of new releases on Essential Classics
Featured on Apple Music’s Classical A-List
Described by Radio 3’s Record Review as “…a delight. The whole thing is gently expressive, meditative, touching and very effective.”
